Jose Mourinho praises the better football being played by Chelsea this season

In this fixture last season, Chelsea lost to Stoke City by a 3-2 margin. Jose Mourinho was clearly disappointed after the match, a game in which several calamitous defensive errors led to Stoke scoring two goals.

On Monday, Jose Mourinho spoke to Chelsea TV about the upcoming rematch with Stoke, reminding us that the Blues were the better side in that match despite the eventual loss. He also had some nice things to say about the football being played this season, pointing out that the squad has a better chance to get results this season than they did at this point last year, largely because they're playing better football on the whole.

Regardless, Stoke away is always a good test of the better clubs in the league, as the Potters typically play a physical, frustrating game. Chelsea will probably need at least a point this evening if they wish to remain top of the table at Christmas.
