Report: Everton looking to exchange Chelsea loanees, returning Atsu and taking Salah instead

Like that impulse buy you just purchased on Cyber Monday and are now regretting because you already had three penguins to put on the telly and you really didn't need a fourth, Everton are possibly looking to return* one Christian Atsu to Chelsea Football Club.  But according to the Mirror, Everton don't want their money back, they want an exchange.  The problem isn't that they don't need a fourth penguin on the telly.  They just need one that works better for them.  And apparently that better option might be Mohamed Salah.

* the actual logistics might be that Chelsea want to recall Atsu since he's hardly played

Salah has been stuck as a firm fifth, if not sixth choice (when we decide that Ramires is an option there) for the attacking midfield positions and after a few promising glimpses last season, he's not really shown any signs of becoming more consistent while improving his decision-making and overall play in the final third.  He needs game-time and that's not really on the cards for him at the moment for him here.  A short-term loan might do wonders.

The Mirror claim that in addition to Everton, Premier League clubs like Sunderland, QPR, and Stoke (who then would have to do something about Victor Moses) are also interested, alongside a whole host of unnamed foreign clubs.  While Jose claimed a few days ago that he doesn't want anyone to leave (nor anyone to come in), if we do want to send out Salah to rediscover the form that made us sign him from FC Basel, we could easily find him a good loan destination.
