On Monday, the Blues were drawn against French Champions PSG for the UEFA Champions League round of 16. The times and dates of those matches have now been set, and we now know where that fits into our current fixture list. The leg in Paris to be played on Tuesday, February 17 at 19:45 local time, while the return leg at Stamford Bridge will be played on Wednesday, March 11, at 19:45 local time.
The away leg will fall between a date reserved for FA Cup play and a home Premier League match against Burnley. The London match also falls after a weekend set aside for the FA Cup, just prior to hosting Southampton. Both Premier League matches are currently scheduled for 15:00 on Saturday.
The other teams assigned to play on February 17 and March 11 are Shakhtar and Bayern Munich, meaning PSG/Chelsea will probably be the fixture that receives the bulk of the media coverage. I guess there are the occasional perks to the difficult draw...
