Liverpool vs. Chelsea: Second half discussion

It wasn't a dream start for Chelsea, as an early Gary Cahill deflection that wound up in the back of the net put any hope of a clean sheet to rest. That said, the Blues responded beautifully after the unfortunate Liverpool goal, and have been miles better than their opponents for the bulk of the match.

The equalizer wasn't the prettiest of goals, but after Simon Mignolet made an excellent save on a John Terry header, he panicked with Gary Cahill's rebound and carried it with him into the goal. Eden Hazard then failed to capitalize on three beautiful opportunities to give Chelsea the lead, shooting straight at a Liverpool player on every one of those occasions.

Still, the positive signs are there for Jose Mourinho's side, who have been by far the better team throughout the first half. As usual though, the finishing will need to be improved if Chelsea hope to take maximum points from this one.
