Thorgan Hazard so impressive at Gladbach that they want him for another year

Thorgan Hazard may not be a first-choice attacking midfielder at surprising Bundesliga outfit Borussia Mönchengladbach -- sitting pretty in third place with just one loss heading into this weekend's games -- but apparently he's impressed the staff so much, that they want him back for another year.  And we're not even into the second half of the season!

"He is a boy with great potential. We are 100 percent sure of him. Already he has made great progress."

"We need good players for our journey. A Loan, if only for a year, is a legitimate way to win a player that you do not get otherwise."

"We want to win Thorgan for Gladbach [for more than a year]."

While it sounds like Gladbach would prefer to secure Thorgan's signature permanently (especially at, say, a deeply discounted €10m), Eberl does not turn his nose up at simply extending the loan for another year either.

As far as the player himself, he seems to be enjoying his time in Western Prussia, though a few more starts wouldn't go amiss.  The second of the Hazards has just four starts in 15 appearances.

"I hope I can start more often in the league soon. But we have many good players, the competition is great."

"After the season we have arranged to meet for talks, then we'll see what happens."
