Gary Cahill is out of England training today, but apparently there's nothing to worry about -- Get West London are reporting that the defender's being rested as a precaution ahead of the Three Lions' match on Saturday, alongside four other players from lesser teams. What exactly Roy Hodgson and company are precautioning against remains thoroughly unclear, but I am in favour of extra rest for any and all Chelsea players, so as long as this isn't anything actually serious, Cahill missing out is probably a good thing.
And if it is serious, it's probably England who are in trouble more than Chelsea. We have Kurt Zouma (called up by France, incidentally -- congratulations!) and Branislav Ivanovic around as backups for the former Bolton man, so his absence wouldn't exactly kill us, whereas England have one halfway competent defender and his name is Gary Cahill. Good luck with that one, Roy.
