The Daily Hilario: Requiem for a lightbulb

My front porch light died today.  A pox on the house of the person(s) who came up with the GX24q-3 base and the same for the person(s) who decided to install these useless, frustrating, suboptimal CFL pieces of [shineboxes] in my house as original equipment in places they're not at all ideally suited for.  And lastly, the same for the person(s) who decided to use the even more incredibly esoteric EOL (non-indoor?) versions just in the porch light.  There's two hours of my life I'll never have back.  On the plus side, I now know all about Sylvania/GE/NEMA lightbulb product codings.  So I got that going for me, which is nice.
