Three Chelsea players in, one out of Brazil's squad for Asia trip

Dean Mouhtaropoulos

The one unlucky player out is of course Ramires, who missed the midweek trip to Portugal and isn't set to feature against Arsenal either.  The initial diagnosis was that the midfielder would be out through the international break, and unlike in the case of Diego Costa, there's no confusion in this one.

All of our other Brazilians first-teamers have received their call-ups into Dunga's squad as the Seleção take flight to Asia for a couple friendlies against Argentina (in Japan) and Japan itself (but in Singapore because that makes a lot of sense).  So, hurray for meaningless trips halfway around the world for key members of the Chelsea squad like Oscar, Willian, and even Filipe Luis!  In case you're wondering, we come back from the international break with an away fixture against Crystal Palace before hosting NK Maribor on the following Tuesday.  Could be worse, I suppose.

The Brazil squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Jefferson (Botafogo), Rafael (Napoli/ITA), Marcelo Grohe (Gremio)

Defenders: David Luiz, Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain/FRA), Gil (Corinthians), Miranda (Atletico Madrid/ESP), Filipe Luis (Chelsea/ENG), Danilo (FC Porto/POR), Mario Fernandes (CSKA Moscow/RUS), Dodo (Inter Milan/ITA)

Midfielders: Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg/GER), Elias (Corinthians), Fernandinho (Man City/ENG), Souza (Sao Paulo), Everton Ribeiro (Cruzeiro), Willian (Chelsea/ENG), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool/ENG), Oscar (Chelsea)

Forwards: Neymar (Barcelona/ESP), Diego Tardelli (Atletico Mineiro), Ricardo Goulart (Cruzeiro), Robinho (Santos)
