WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND:
Big weekend coming up with a Clasico that actually sounds intriguing (Messi-Neymar-Bitey whoa), the MLS regular season title coming down to the last game (and it's a West Coast rivalry with the Sounders against the Galaxy), and of course Chelsea away to United on Sunday.
So let's enjoy the relative quiet before the storm. A Friday to stock up on all the popcorn, and all the (liquid) courage one might need.
ICYMI, the Spurs vs. Random Greek Team match was actually fun:
Mostly because Lamela scored with a ridiculous rabona from the top of the box. Meanwhile, Harry Kane got a hat trick (Random Greek Teams tend to be bad) and then had to go in goal because Hugo Lloris got sent off (Hugo Lloris tends to do Hugo Lloris things) and Spurs were out of subs. What a game! Only in the Europa Leauge.
By the way, Lamela apparently practices such things in training every day, unlike our own Eden Hazard. (Though I think Pochettino is applying "practices" in a pretty liberal sense here.) In the end, I think they'd both agree that the name of the game is fun. And sometimes, it's fun to show off.
