It didn't take long for Chelsea to go up a goal as Loic Remy got free, cut back behind the Maribor defenders, and lashed a shot into the corner. Unfortunately for Remy, he managed to injure himself in the process, and had to make way for Didier Drogba to enter the game very early.
Several minutes later, Chelsea managed to double their lead, as a Maribor player handled in the box. Didier Drogba stepped up to the spot, and just like that, his second spell at Chelsea had been marked with another goal. Two strikers had scored in about 20 minutes of play, something Chelsea fans hadn't seen much of over the past several seasons.
John Terry added a third after a mad dash down the pitch allowed him to get on the end of a Cesc Fabregas cross, and now we can turn this comment thread into a series of calls for substitutions. My personal preference would be to haul off Oscar and Eden Hazard, replacing them with Mohamed Salah and Dom Solanke. I could probably be talked into Cesc for Ake or Branbear for Cesar Azpilicueta as well. Regardless of who the subs wind up being though, let's just hope for no more injuries.
