It's been an entertaining and fairly open first 45 minutes, with Crystal Palace looking threatening especially early on. Fortunately, Thibaut Courtois has been good when called upon.
The defense in front of him unfortunately hasn't been at their best, Gary Cahill especially having a tough time of it against Fraizer Campbell. And then of course Cesar Azpilicueta had a rush of blood to the head and lunged in with studs showing and was rightly shown the red card. Thankfully Damien Delaney bailed us out with an obvious second yellow just a couple minutes later, so now we get to play 10-v-10 in the second half.
Before all the reds and before the weather took a turn for the wetter, Oscar scored from a magnificent free kick for his second Premier League goal of the season. John Terry also had a header cleared off the line, while Nemanja Matic missed a gilt-edged opportunity just before the half as well.
So, 1-0 to the good guys. Just need to calm down a bit. UP THE BLUES!
