WHOAH... WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE?
As we talked about earlier in the week, today marks the exact 25th anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake. Fittingly, the San Francisco Giants won the pennant last night and will represent the National League against the American League's Kansas City Royals in the World ("world") Series.
October 17th was also apparently the day a tornado struck London in 1091. Could you imagine a tornado hitting London nowadays? (Quick, someone call Sy-Fy for a Sharknado crossover event!)
LE SAUX, THE NEWS:
BREAKING MADDEN | SB Nation
This week, it's Touchdown Tom's turn (thanks for the 30 fantasy points on TNF, BTW). Or to be more specific, QB-sneak Tom's turn. And did you hear, Roster Cuts now has its own separate post. Celebrate!
The worst flag of the NFL season yet | SB Nation
It's amazing that I still watch this nonsense league as each game descends in a farcical flagfest. You know how most other major sports strive to keep the officials out of the spotlight? The NFL insists on moving in the exact opposite direction. And it's terrible.
Daniel Alfredsson's career may be over | SB Nation

Morocco apparently have asked CAF to delay or move the 2015 ACN due to Ebola fears | SB Nation
Hmmm...
Meanwhile, Nigeria (finally) fire Stephen Keshi | SB Nation
What a weird few months it's been for the Super Eagles...
Martin Skrtel thanks Bitey for teaching him bad Spanish words to use against Diego Costa | SB Nation
Skrtel & Slovakia pulled off the upset last week. Costa will just have to get his revenge when Chelsea visit Anfield shortly.
OS X 10.10 Yosemite is out | The Verge
Downloading now... Hopefully it does turn out to be a 10-out-of-10.
