Grade the Chelsea transfer window

The January window has shut, how do you feel Chelsea did?

Mike Hewitt

With no more additions now coming until we begin preparations for next season, it seems a good time to share our thoughts on the window just completed. We've made a fair bit of money, while probably strengthening our first eleven and adding several elite young prospects to the mix. We've also sacrificed some valuable depth, allowing several members of the squad who weren't seeing enough minutes to depart, either on loan or permanently.

Juan Mata, Michael Essien, and Kevin De Bruyne have left the first team on a permanent basis. Ryan Bertrand has also left the first team, joining Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season. Jonathan Muleba and Sam Walker also saw their stays at the club ended, with the pair moving on permanent transfers.

Incoming first team additions include just Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah, both of whom will be cup-tied in the Champions League. Kurt Zouma, Bertrand Traore, and Mario Pasalic (yet to be confirmed by the club) have all signed with Chelsea and been immediately farmed out.

So what do you think of our January business? Cast your vote, and use the comment section to discuss.
