Tim Sherwood might have called Manchester City 'the best team on the planet' after they gave Tottenham Hotspur a rather ferocious spanking at White Hart Lane on Wednesday, but Jose Mourinho seems rather less impressed. With Chelsea three points behind the Premier League leaders and travelling to the Etihad -- where the hosts have a 100 percent record -- Mourinho made a point to say that Manuel Pellegrini's side had been lucky so far.
Although he emphasised that he wasn't suggesting that there was some sort of huge conspiracy to hand the leaders wins, he pointed to their games against Liverpool, Newcastle and, indeed, Spurs, all of which had goals disallowed in controversial fashion, as examples of good fortune. Granted, Chelsea have had their fair share of luck this season -- the West Brom game stands out -- but this sounds like a classic Mourinho attempt to nudge referees to be more favourable to his time to me.
Oh, and he also decided to take a pop at Tim Sherwood too.
