Mohamed Salah wasn't available for the 0-0 home draw against West Ham on Wednesday -- not that he'd have helped with the lack of space behind the visitors' defence -- and it doesn't sound like Jose Mourinho has plans to field Chelsea's newest signing at the Etihad, either. That means he's likely to make his home debut two weekends from now, against Newcastle United:
Mohamed Salah is now our player. I believe you will have the chance to see him at our next game at Stamford Bridge and he is a very talented player. But, of course, there is hard competition from him, as we have top boys in the attacking positions.

We're about to get back into proper fixture-congestion-land again, and having Salah as a reasonable rotation option along with Andre Schurrle should allow the manager to keep the squad fresh as he continues to go for... whatever he's going for this year. If Salah does get some time against Newcastle, hopefully he can match what happened the last time he played at Stamford Bridge...
