Chelsea midfielder heads to Belgium on loan for the rest of the season

In a bit of a surprising move, Billy Clifford is heading to Belgium for the remainder of the season

Chelsea midfielder Billy Clifford will be heading out on loan for the remainder of the 2013/14 season, joining Belgian second-division side Royal Antwerp. Clifford was previously loaned to Championship side Yeovil Town this season, but the loan spell was cut short due to injury.

Antwerp could still find themselves in the promotion picture, though it will take a pretty fantastic run of form in order to do so. Clifford excelled in League One with Colchester last season, and could possibly provide the type of spark that Antwerp need to do just that.

Surprisingly, Clifford won't be the only English player in the squad, as John Bostock has been with the club all season.
