Sky Sports were reporting this morning that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was undergoing surgery for a fractured elbow. That seemed strange -- if injury was new, it would have been quite the story -- but as it turns out nothing particularly dramatic has happened and that Sky Sports were, perhaps, exaggerating a little bit:
Jose Mourinho today underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure on a long-standing elbow complaint. He will return to work tomorrow. #CFC

This obviously isn't a big deal and Mourinho will have picked the surgery date to coincide with a Chelsea off day. The surgery, then, won't have much of an impact on anything for the club, but in light of the fact that we weretold it was a fractured elbow, it's probably good to spread the word that the procedure was more minor than 'fracture' normally entails.
