Fernando Torres set to miss several weeks with ligament injury

It looks like we'll be seeing quite a bit of Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba in the next several weeks

Chelsea won comfortably against Manchester United today, but it looks as if the game will cost them the services of one of their players for several weeks. According to Jose Mourinho, Fernando Torres has suffered a ligament injury that will have him sidelined for the next several weeks.

Torres was just starting to find a run of good form, so the timing of the injury could not have been worse for the player. Luckily, we still have both Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba, both of whom have been about as effective as Torres when on the pitch this season.

Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be any more serious than we're initially being led to believe, and we can get back to full strength in short order. Get well soon Fernando, we're not actively worse with you on the pitch anymore and it would be nice to have you available.
