January Transfernado Open Thread, Part I

Happy New Year, foolios!  Are all y'all ready for the Transfernado?

Mourinho may have said that we won't be signing a striker and he may have already said a long time ago that we won't be making too many big waves in the market, but that won't stop anybody from idle speculation or random chatter or, most importantly, it won't stop the tabloids from coming up with random nonsense, now will it?

Last season we added Demba Ba (and Wallace, sort of).  The year before then we brought in Gary Cahill (and Piazon, De Bruyne, Bamford, and Omeruo).  The year before then was of course the big one with David Luiz and Torres.  Basically, we've seen some winter activity each of the last three years and we might see a few moves this time around, too - even if they'll be mostly of the loan variety.

So, here is a place for you to discuss all that, or anything else that comes to mind as we celebrate in turning another page in the Gregorian calendar.  Yey!
