World Cup qualifying continues today although with a significantly lighter schedule most of Europe and the Americas played their first matches of the internatioal break yesterday. Today it's Africa's turn, where Chelsea will be represented by a pair of Super Eagles and one young Stallion. The African national teams really do have the best nicknames (besides the Von Trapps of course).
It'll be Moses & Mikel to kick off first (11am EDT) vs. Malawi with Bertrand Traoré to follow 30 minutes later vs. Gabon. No, I do not have any information on Traoré's contaracti sutationa dn I can't find any TV information for either of these matches at the moment, yet I'm sure they will not go untelevised. Both Nigeria and Burkina Faso need good performances to continue theirs quests of qualifying for World Cup 2014.
The country that qualified by default will also a play. Brazil's friendly vs. Australia (3:15pm EDT / beIN Sport) should be a fun watch even if Brazil may have slipped down below Belgium to second in the "everyone's favorite second team" rankings.
Discuss.
