Somehow not all Chelsea players ended up with a 0.0 rating from Wednesday night

This one's a bit late; although I did figure y'all would just vote all 1's for everybody. Apologies if you had already successfully repressed these events and memories.

Judging by your ratings, Oscar was the only player to not be completely useless out there on Wednesday.  He did score a goal after all and hit the woodwork later on while taking five of the twelve total Chelsea shots.  He also led the team in successful tackles.

He loves the Champions League, that Oscar.

Unfortunately, his passing is quite indicative of Chelsea's generally nonexistent ability to do any telling damage to Basel.  Low completion percentage (78%), a large percentage of long balls, and a relatively small amount of "key" passes are not quite what we'd like to see.

2. PETR ČECH - GK 5.3

Often the man of the match in losing efforts, Cech settles for second place in this one, barely beating out Branislav Ivanovic.

I don't recall the goalkeeper doing anything outrageously bad or outrageously awesome, but conceding two goals (on three shots on target) is not something that happens too often and that alone probably deserves the below average rating.

3. BRANISLAV IVANOVIC - DR 5.3

A second successive third place showing for the first choice right back, which makes all the calls for Cesar Azpilicueta somewhat odd.  That being said, I'd like to see 'Dave' out there for Swindon, if nothing else.

Ivanovic led all players in touches and that's probably as good an indicator as any at showing just how anemic the Chelsea offense was on Wednesday versus the parked Swiss Toblerone wall.

OTHERS:
A.Cole (4.4), David Luiz (5.1), Cahill (4.8), Lampard (4.8), Van Ginkel (4.5), Hazard (4.1), Willian (5.1), Eto'o (4.1)

SUBS:
Mata (4.6), Mikel (4.9), Ba (4.2)
