Champions League Opening Night / Tuesday Open Thread

Alex Grimm

Guess who's back? Back again? Champions League is back! Tell a friend!

And Chelsea are back in it, too! Yey! But they don't play until tomorrow. Boo!

It is a juicy schedule for tonight though, with plenty of the big boys in action. Bayern, Juventus, PSG, and Manchester City should have no problems with their opponents tonight, and as much as I adore Didier Drogba, I don't think he and his Galatasaray chums have that much of a chance versus Real Madrid.

The match that I'm most interested in is Manchester United vs. Bayer Leverkusen, to see how David Moyes does on his Champions League managerial debut, and to catch the exciting Sam-Son-Kiessling trio for Leverkusen (who are off to a good start in the Bundesliga) in action.

Discuss.
