Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur, U21 Premier League: Lineups & Open Thread

Make some room for Kiwomya!
Make some room for Kiwomya!

Welcome to opening day of the Premier League's 2013-14 season! The U21 Premier League that is, the real thing is still a week away. Oh well; this will have to do for now.

This is the first of quite a few matches that Chelsea will play at Aldershot Town FC, a club we helped rescue from financial difficulty.  Hopefully their pitch is miles better than Brentford's sandy death trap.

Our opponents today are fellow London outfit Spurs, whom we didn't get to play last year due to the overly complicated league structure that was in place.  Now that all the teams are unified in one league, we'll get to test our mettle against everyone.  Spurs finished second in the competition last year (losing the title playoff final to Manchester United), so this one might be a bigger test than most, even.

Chelsea U21 starting lineup (4-2-3-1)
Mitchell Beeney | Kevin Wright, Nathan Aké, Nathaniel Chalobah, Andreas Christensen | John Swift, Ruben Loftus-Cheek | Jeremie Boga, Josh McEachran, Alex Kiwomya | Isaiah Brown

Substitutes from: Ben Killip, Lewis Baker, Alex Davey, Islam Feruz, Isak Ssewankambo

Tottenham Hotspur U21 starting eleven:
Jordan Archer (GK), Dominic Ball, Alexander McQueen, Darren McQueen Tom Carroll, Iago Falqué, Ryan Fredericks, Kevin Stewart, Giancarlo Gallfuoco, Shaquile Coulthirst, Nabil Bentaleb, Grant Ward Harry Kane

Kickoff at five minutes past the top of the hour; in about 20 minutes.  Do it.

Except Spurs are having some difficulty arriving, so we're looking at a bit of a delay - 7:45pm kickoff now, apparently.
