Southampton join Victor Moses chase -- Mirror

If you've been following the transfer chat this summer, you're already well aware that Chelsea and Newcastle United have been discussing a loan move for Demba Ba, one which would cost the Magpies a cool £3 million in fees. That's not news, although the Mirror seems to think it is (silly Mirror).

But in their story about Ba, they disclose something else which could be of interest -- the chase for Victor Moses has now swollen to four sides. Steve Clarke solidified the rumours that West Bromwich Albion were interested in the winger on Friday, and now Mauricio Pochettino and Southampton are apparently* looking to snap him up before the transfer window closes on September 2nd.

*There's a quote, but I have no idea how it's relevant.

If four teams (Liverpool and Crystal Palace are the other two) really are looking to add Moses to their attack this summer, that can only be a good thing for Chelsea, who should be able to maximise any loan fee they get from the Nigeria international. A bidding war will also ensure that he only goes to a team he wants to, as well.

No matter what, these are probably the two biggest storylines to track on Monday -- especially as Chelsea appear to be over the squad limit for non-homegrown players as it stands. Loaning out Demba Ba would fix that problem.
