Having now watched first interviews with Andre Schurrle (22), Marco van Ginkel (20), and Willian (25) this summer, the thing that stands out the most from the 32-year-old Samuel Eto'o's first interview is the massive amount of confidence and professionalism that simply oozes out of the Cameroonian with every word. With every ... Spanish ... word? Weird; awesome.
Eto'o has seen and done it all. He's not dazzled by the bright lights; he's been in the spotlight before. He loves two things: football and José Mourinho. Luckily for us, we're the only club in the world who can provide him with both.
The striker's Chelsea career may only end up lasting for just this one year and he may not even set the goalscoring charts alight. But it's clear that he's got plenty of confidence in himself and in using his skills and experience to make an impact in our quest for footballing glories.
Welcome, Samuel Eto'o. Let's make some memories.
