We've already had word that Real Sociedad are interested in securing the services of Josh McEachran; now there's even more stuff filtering in. According to Noticias de Gipuzkoa, the Txuri-urdin are looking to bring McEachran in on loan -- if they don't sign Barcelona midfielder Jonathan dos Santos.
Apparently that pursuit is not going well, with new Barca manager Gerardo Martino wanting to keep dos Santos at the Camp Nou, so things are looking pretty promising so far as McEachran goes. I know that there was some worry over whether a move to Sociedad would be permanent or not, but from everything I can see this looks like a loan deal. And that can only be good news for Josh -- what he needs is regular playing time in an environment where he can work on his weaknesses without being crippled by them. La Liga's a perfect place to do just that.
