Gokhan Tore: I'll be back

At Chelsea. I'll be back at Chelsea. I think that line was cut from The Terminator (for reasons unknown), but it's not being cut from Gokhan Tore's script.

The Premier League is the strongest league in the world. I love watching the Premiership. Chelsea have a very deep squad and it would have taken me a long time to work my way into the team.

However, I still have my number 48 shirt and one day I will wear it again.

Tore was for some time the darling of the statistically inclined after recording a frankly silly number of 'dribbles' during his tenure at HSV Hamburg in the 2011/12 season, but after a move to Rubin Kazan he had a much harder time of things, managing just five appearances last season. Now he's on loan at Besiktas, and if he does well... who knows.

I will say that a return seems unlikely. If Chelsea had a strong, difficult-to-break-into squad when Tore left, it's now even stronger and even more difficult to break into. But if he can unseat, say, Eden Hazard and Andre Schurrle and everyone else he'll have to beat out to get a place with the team, more power to him. Doesn't hurt to dream big.
