This Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain thing has been pretty strange, and not just because it's difficult for me to imagine Cavani playing in that particular shade of blue (which eeeew). The club's director of football has tendered his resignation in the middle of trying to sign him and former and future teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi has apparently tried to warn him off coming to the Parc des Princes. There's been a surreal, dream-like quality to this whole thing.
That's not going to stop the move actually happening though:
L'Equipe on Edinson Cavani: Expected to undergo medical today and presentation will be no later than next Tuesday. #PSG

I'm still skeptical that this makes any sense for PSG thanks to the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but there you have it. The Cavani saga will be over soon -- not with a bang but with the whimper of a successful medical in France and the subsequent presser. I know many Chelsea fans will have mixed feelings over missing out on such an elite player, but it's not difficult to see why the club might have baulked at the cost, both in finances and restricted opportunities for the likes of Romelu Lukaku.
Anyway, hang tight, for this will all be over soon. Probably.
