Billy Clifford spent the second half of last season on loan at Colchester United, and was very impressive during that spell. He seemed like a prime candidate to head out on another loan spell, and today we got confirmation as to where he'll start the 2013/14 season.
Yeovil Town have announced that Clifford will be joining the club on a six-month loan, which will see him playing in the Championship until the January window opens. He's the latest in a long line of Chelsea youngsters to head to Yeovil, following Sam Walker, Milan Lalkovic, and a handful of players that have since left the club. Here's a picture of Clifford holding his new Yeovil jersey:

I'd expect Clifford to be first choice at Yeovil from the moment he sets foot on the pitch, where he'll have every opportunity to prove that he's ready for a more aggressive assignment in January. With his contract due to expire in June 2015, it's probably crucial for the 20-year old to have a big year this season if he wants to remain in Chelsea's plans going forward.
