Clash of the (mini) Titans / France vs. Ghana / U20 Open Thread

Johannes Simon

And just like that, we're at the business end of the U20 World Cup! The first game will pit Ghana, who fought past the terrifying challenge of Chile, against France, who barely escaped a colossal onslaught by the ever-mighty Uzbekistan. The second game will have Iraq facing Uruguay. Great, some pretty varied participation, with four continents represented.

The France game kicks off in half an hour, i.e. 1600 hours BST, or 2030 hours IST, followed by a three hour gap, whereupon Iraq-Uruguay shall kick off at 1900 hours BST, or 2330 hours IST.

France will have Geoffrey Kondogbia starting, who you should be excited about, with Kurt Zouma probably on the bench, who you should feel free to be excited about as long as you don't give a [fun] about adamant club Presidents and their wishes. You listening, Aurelio?!

Here's hoping there's lots of goals, and some impressive performances by the Chelsea targets.
