Welcome to the semifinals of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup! Today's menu consists of a tasty matchup between the 2011 Copa America champions and the 2011 Copa America biggest flops. Wonder what Mano Menezes is up to today?
Brazil have made easy work of the Confeds so far, sailing through their group with a perfect record while scoring nine and conceding just two. Neymar, who has been front and center for anything Brazil has not disappointed, scoring in each of the three games so far.
Uruguay have produced far less. Dominated by both Spain and Nigeria in terms of possession, they progressed thanks to their ability to capitalize on their counters. While Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez have been a bit disappointing, Diego Forlan looked a man half a decade younger last time out.
With a rivalry going back decades and a de facto rematch of the 1950 World Cup final, this should be a good one.
