Mexico vs. Nigeria / Idle Chit-chat / Weekend Kickoff Open Thread

Ian Walton

It's been a busy week of transfer rumors and transfer rumors and then some more transfer rumors. So many transfer rumors!

Here then is a bit of a breather, your chance to talk about whatever you'd like. Yes, even more transfer rumors, if you'd like - like all those off topic comments all y'all like to post so much.

There's also the small matter of a Friday night international friendly over in Houston. Mexico vs. Nigeria doesn't exactly scream must watch TV, but there's a bit of Chelsea interest in it as Kenneth Omeruo starts for the Super Eagles. That's Champion of Africa Kenneth Omeruo and ADO Den Haag player of the year Kenneth Omeuro, so that's something.

Nigeria starting lineup (4-3-3):
Vincent Enyeama | Uwa Elderson Echiejile, Kenneth Omeruo, Godfrey Oboabona, Efe Ambrose | Sunday Mba, Fegor Ogude, Ogenyi Onazi | Ideye Aide Brown, Joseph Akpala, Nnamdi Oduamadi

Meanwhile, everyone's favorite Little Pea, one day shy of his 25th birthday, gets the start for El Tri.

You can catch this one live on ESPNEWS or streaming on ESPN3 ... or do as I will and enjoy some Latin flavor on Univision. Goooooooooooooooooollllllllllll...
