Oft-injured Chelsea youngster was scheduled to meet up with the Ghana U20 side this week, but he wasn't training with the squad yesterday as expected. That probably wouldn't come as a surprise to many of you familiar with his extensive injury history, but he was absent for another reason entirely.
Pappoe surprised many fans yesterday when he turned up in training with Ghana's senior side, ahead of a pair of upcoming World Cup Qualifiers. Danny was not named in the 25-man roster named ahead of the qualifiers, but was the only member of the U20 side who was training with the senior team.
It's unclear if Pappoe will be traveling with the senior side or not, but if he doesn't, he'll likely still be in involved in next month's FIFA U20 World Cup. Regardless of which competition he ends up playing in, it's just good to see the big youngster healthy and still held in relatively high regard. Best of luck Danny, and congratulations.
