Remember when all had a Juan Mata-shaped void in our hearts? It's only been two years since the man himself came to fill that void, but it's already impossible to imagine life without him.
In his inaugural season, Mata was voted Player of the Year by the fans. In addition to defending that title, this year Mata also took home the Player's Player of the Year. Such a little trophy hog:

Chelsea's #10 becomes just the fourth player in club history to win back-to-back Player of the Year awards, joining illustrious company in John Hollins, Ray Wilkins, and Frank Lampard.
Interviewed on Chelsea TV, Mata described how much he enjoys life and Chelsea and enjoys communicating with the fans via his blog and on Twitter.
I feel really happy to be here.
I feel the love from the fans and the club.
Hand-hearts to you, too, Matinha.
There's still room for improvement of course, as Mata was denied the perfect hat-trick when Oscar claimed the Goal of the Season award. If you're keeping track, that's the third year in a row (and fourth in the last six) that a Brazilian has won it. How stereotypical! Get in (via Who Ate All the Pies):
Meanwhile, the outpouring of Frank Lampard love continued as well with the Special Recognition Award for his services to the club - somewhat ironic timing in light of his brand new one-year contract and that he received the award from Bobby Tambling (last year's winner) just a few days after beating the man's goal-scoring record.
Nathan Ake received a fitting end to his season as well, winning the Young Player of the Year award. He joins the likes of Lucas Piazon, Josh McEachran, John Obi Mikel, Robert Huth, and John Terry on the list of winners. Hopefully he'll join a couple of them out on the pitch on Sunday as well.
