Yesterday we had some comments from Ron Gourlay, stressing the importance of a top four finish and ensuring that Chelsea will begin the season playing Champions League football again next year. This falls right in line with what I feel the priorities for Chelsea should be for the remainder of the season, and I'm really hoping that Rafa Benitez feels the same.
Last season, however, we saw the opposite sort of prioritization take place, with the club turning their attention to success in the cup competitions at the expense of league positioning. It's hard to argue with the approach in retrospect, as the FA Cup and Champions League double probably amount to the single best season in Chelsea history from a silverware perspective.
With our next three games being of the cup variety, I think it might be fun to see where the WAGNH community stands on the matter. If you had to pick one of the remaining competitions to prioritize over the rest, which one would it be? Which would be the least important to you?
