Chelsea vs West Ham: Second half gamethread

Frank Lampard scored his 200th Chelsea goal as the Blues lead at Stamford Bridge

Scott Heavey

Chelsea probably should have been well out in front early on, but both Demba Ba and James Collins wasted golden opportunities to put the home side out in front in the opening 15 minutes of play. It's been pretty much all Chelsea from the start though, with Hazard in particular looking very good on the day.

The good guys would get a deserved lead just after the quarter-hour mark when Eden Hazard picked out Frank Lampard with an absolutely perfect chip. Lampard would make o mistake, burying the header for Chelsea goal number 200. How appropriate that he'd hit that milestone against his old club?

Chelsea haven't been able to add a second despite creating loads of excellent chances, so there is still some work to be done in the second half to earn the full points. Tottenham look like their about to do us a favor though, dropping points to Fulham at White Hart Lane.

For anyone who hasn't come up with a fun drinking game for St. Patrick's Day yet, I've got a fun idea for the second half. Every time Tony Gale criticizes David Luiz for something he does, take a drink. If you're still conscious after the 55th minute, you win.
