Todd Kane returns to Blackburn Rovers

The right back will join the club on a second one-month loan spell

Chelsea have confirmed that 19-year old right back Todd Kane will be heading out on loan for the third time this season. The youngster had had previous loans at Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers, and will be rejoining the Championship side for a second one-month spell.

Kane had the following to say about the return, via Chelsea's official website:

'It is great to be back here, I'm really looking forward to it. It was a great experience being here the first time. I really enjoyed it, I got on well with all the lads.'

Hopefully the third time is the charm for Kane, and he's able to get regular playing time for his entire stay this time around. The unfortunate side effect of his heading back out is that he'll no longer be helping Chelsea in the NextGen Series, after playing a big part in the win over Barcelona. Championship football will do far more for his development than playing for a U19 trophy though, so as long as he gets some time on the pitch, it's absolutely the correct move. Best of luck Todd, we'll be watching.
