There hasn't been much to discuss today outside of Rafa Benitez, and for that I sincerely apologize. I can assure you that we have a few things in the works that will be far more fun to talk about. Tonight though, it's more Rafa.
I just read an article with some quotes from a fan, ironically one with an 'interim' in the title of his role with his supporters group. It got me thinking about what if, so here is the quote in question:
"On balance I’d prefer it if he [Benitez] wasn’t our manager until the end of the season. I’d probably prefer Avram Grant to be our manager in the short-term, but it wouldn’t be ideal."
I have to say, Grant would seem to be the only logical option to replace Rafa Benitez in the short term, unless you believe the club would consider appointing Steve Holland. I doubt they'd get rid of Benitez for Holland, especially as Grant is unemployed and still on good terms with Roman Abramovich.
With that in mind, I thought I'd toss a simple poll question out there for everyone to vote on, largely because I was curious if Mr. Rolls opinion is shared by the majority of our readers. Given the choice between Avram Grant taking over tomorrow and Rafa Benitez finishing out the year, which would you prefer?
