George Saville has been named to several Chelsea benches this season, but will spend the remainder of the year on loan in the Championship. Hopefully this will be an opportunity for the youngster to gain some valuable first team experience. The club made an announcement this morning* confirming that Saville has joined Millwall until May 4, a side neither in the promotion hunt or in any danger of relegation.
*Unfortunately that announcement didn't involve the removal of the "manager" tag from out interim boss
The youngster made huge strides over the past several seasons, developing from a bit of a non-prospect into someone who is now being sent on a fairly aggressive loan assignment. He's played primarily with the U21 side this season, but has occasionally featured in the NextGen Series (including their round of 16 victory over FC Barcelona).
This will be a big assignment for Saville, as the Championship will probably be a very good gauge of where he's currently at in his development. Best of luck George, and stay healthy.
