Clash of the Titans / Wednesday Champions League Open Thread

Across the gulf of prestige, regarding teams measurably superior to ours with envious eyes.

Jasper Juinen

More Champions League goodness! Where the good teams play. The TITANS of Europe. I do wonder why we're so inclined towards using Titans as a descriptor, when they're just the chumps who were overthrown by the Olympians. Yet you don't hear about the Clash of the Olympians too often, except for maybe every time there's an actual Olympic Games. But whatever.

What's more important is that you're going to need to procure two screens post haste - or at least one screen big enough to clearly show two matches - because tonight's match-ups are mouthwatering, to say the least.

In the clash of the hip and young and beautiful and exciting, it'll be Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Borussia Dortmund at the Donbass, and in the clash of the old(er) and traditional and powerful and hyped, it'll be Real Madrid vs. Manchester United at the Bernabéu. I literally have no idea how to choose between which of these two to watch.
