UEFA Team of the Year voting / Monday Night Football / Open Thread

There's one match left of this wretched Matchday 15. They've always warned us of cold Tuesday nights in Stoke; why didn't they warn us of cold Saturday afternoons in Stoke!?

It's Swansea City vs. Hull City (3pm EST). If that doesn't get you excited, I don't know what will.

Maybe this will: the UEFA Team of the Year voting!

Apparently the nominees were announced last week but we missed it. Or at least I missed it. It's a vote open to the public, so you know it's going to be good. The unwashed mob is always right!

The timing is a bit unfortunate, for the two Chelsea representatives amongst the nominees are Petr Cech and Branislav Ivanovic, and neither of the two are entirely in-favor with the general population. Thibaut Courtois is also nominated and since opinion of him is yet to be tainted by playing in an actual Chelsea shirt, maybe we'll be kind enough to lend him some of our votes. No worries, he'll pay them back when he does pull on that lovely shade of blue.

I know you're dying to know; here are my picks (4-3-3):
Thibaut Courtois | David Alaba, Thiago Silva, Branislav Ivanovic, Philipp Lahm | Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ilkay Gungodan, Franck Ribery | Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Edinson Cavani
