Agent 0017: On Chelsea's Secret Service / Sunday Open Thread

Michael Regan

Saturday was a bit crap. Despite both Manchesters dropping points, it was a bit crap. Liverpool won easily to vault back into second, while Spurs fought back against yet another relegation-threatened side to climb into sixth and just three points behind the Blues.

No matter what happens today, Chelsea will end matchday 15 on 30 points and in third place. That's decent, I suppose, although less decent if Arsenal end today on 37 points.

And there's were Agent 0017 comes in. His (not-so-)secret mission is to put the hurt on Chelsea's rivals. He's already scored against Manchester City and Liverpool and has eight league goals in just ten appearances for Everton. Keep it up!

Arsenal vs. Everton kick off at 16:00 GMT (11am EST) and it will be live on Sky Sports (UK) or NBCSN (USA). Ahead of that one, there's also Fulham vs. Aston Villa (8:30am EST), but unless Rene Meulensteen bamboozled you too by name-dropping Sir Alex Ferguson every five minutes, you probably won't care about that one at all.

On a sidenote, no matter how bad it gets for Chelsea, at least we're not the Mariners (putting things into perspective Re incompetence since Bret Boone stopped using steroids).
