Monday Football Open Thread

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

In case you're interested in the whole Italy vs. Nigeria non-revenge for USA '94 match going on at Craven Cottage today, and you're not there in person looking for some light Monday night entertainment, here's a thread for you to discuss it. Coming just two days after both squads were in action, chances are that we'll see some of the less often used players. I expect the Chelsea contingent to make substitute appearances for Nigeria, although Kenneth Omeruo's injury looked serious enough on Saturday to perhaps rule him out completely from this one.

The match starts in 45 minutes at 2:45pm EST and is live on beIN Sport.

There's another random international friendly this evening (8:30pm EST) as Argentina take on Bosnia and Herzegovina in St. Louis, MO. As SBN's own Kevin McCauley put it, sorry "dude who spent in excess of $100 to see Messi" but the world's best isn't going to be there. If you weren't foolish enough to shell out that sort of cash for a useless, meaningless friendly, you can watch on beIN Sport (USA) and BT Sport 1 (UK).

If you're truly desperate for more football, there's Walsall vs. Peterborough on Sky's Monday Night Football. That's mid-table vs. top three in League One. How exciting! Still, there could be a Milan Lalkovic sighting for Walsall...
