Adidas puts Oscar and Torres front and center as they begin Brazil 2014 advertising push

New, comments

Not as front and center as Lionel Messi of course, but that's besides the point.

In case you've been living under a rock, you'll know that the World Cup in Brazil is just about six months away. Are you excited yet? Adidas sure are.

The video above is the launch trailer for their new 'Samba' collection - I guess football boots get launch trailers nowadays, as well as unboxing videos? - because, you know, Brazil ... so samba. Moved a lot of brain cells on that one, adidas did. That being said, I'm enjoying the cacophony of noise, color, and visuals. With the toe of my Lethal Zones starting to peel (thank you, artificial turf), I guess I'll have to start figuring out which of the several magnificent colorways will best suit my distinctly Sunday League-quality game.

Obviously Messi is adidas's biggest trump card and he makes an appearance as the big reveal at the end (SPOILERS!), but both Chelsea representatives feature heavily: Oscar doing some tricks and agility work; Fernando Torres looking dreamy as he shows us perfect form on the pushups. That being said, Edinson Cavani on the rowing machine might be my favorite part.

Other big stars featuring include Mesut Özil, Dani Alves, Hernanes, Ezequiel Lavezzi, and a few others whom I couldn't readily identify. Can you?
