After seeing the word that Kevin de Bruyne had been sent to hospital to check on an ankle injury earlier on Tuesday morning, I think most of us were fearing the worst for the young Belgian. But we've since had rare happy news -- the midfielder turns out to be ok, and should be fit to feature in the World Cup qualifier against Croatia this Friday.
Just to say. I'm fully fit for the game against croatie. No injury at all

It's not clear whether the reports of him picking up that supposed ankle problem were in error or whether scans came back suggesting that everything would be ok, but either way this is very welcome news. If it's the latter case, well, it wouldn't be the first time that de Bruyne has looked hurt only to bounce back (remember that horrible looking landing in preseason?).
Good luck to Kevin and the other Belgian Blues this week.
