Thursday Europa League Open Thread

Ah, Europa League. Your stench is palpable.

You might be wondering why I created a thread for this silly competition (yes, even more exponentially silly now that we've added it to our trophy cabinet). My reasons are three-fold:

1. Not much going on, so if you feel the need to chat about something, anything, here's a place to do it.
2. Anzhi vs. Spurs (12pm EDT, ESPN3 in Spanish, FSC2Go in English - yes, weird). Turns out Anzhi are abject and have yet to win a game in the league in 11 tries. I realize there was the firesale, but come on now, this is just silly. From third to last! Which would make it extra funny if they somehow upset Spurs here in this group match.
3. Rubin Kazan vs. Zulte Waregem (also at 12pm, ESPN3, FSC2Go). Zulte is the current home of Thorgan Hazard. And by all indications, Thorgan Hazard is awesome.

There's a boatload of other teams playing, too, although most of them are somewhat obscure and random. Oriol Romeu's Valencia and Marko Marin's Sevilla might be worth a gander, while in the late games (3pm EDT), Swansea City and Fiorentina may provide the best viewing entertainment.
