Ashley Cole fit to face City

Charlie Crowhurst

Ashley Cole's absence hasn't been very fun for Chelsea. We used Ryan Bertrand against Cardiff to little effect, and then played Cesar Azpilicueta out of position against Schalke. Granted, both games were won by three goals, but having to deal with Cole being out with that rib injury for much longer could well have caused some problems. Fortunately, we have good news!

That doesn't say that Cole will start, of course, and given the fact that the Manchester City home game is probably the biggest of the season so far I'd imagine that the manager would want to keep his cards close to his chest. But at the very least, Cole's on the mend, and we won't have to worry about him being missing for an extended period of time. Hurray.
