The Blues did their thing yesterday, defeating Schalke by a 3-0 score to put themselves in relatively safe position at the top of Group E. They now need only 6 points to mathematically assure advancement to the group stage, and anything short of a 3 goal defeat to Schalke will assure the Blues hold the first tiebreaker against the German side.
