Alan Shearer is of the belief that to play for England, you must be born in England. Here at WAGNH, we're not nearly so strict in determining who belongs in our "English" loan roundup. All a player needs to do is be loaned to a club playing in England, and he becomes eligible to appear in our English roundup. Here's what that group of youngsters did this week:
- Romelu Lukaku (Everton) - Lukaku's Everton team weren't able to take any points off of Manchester City this past weekend, but that didn't stop Romelu Lukaku from finding the back of the net for the fourth time this season. He repeatedly posed problems during the first half against the title contenders, as their center backs just weren't fast enough to prevent the Belgian from getting in behind.
- Victor Moses (Liverpool) - Moses continues to start for Liverpool, and was denied a goal by the woodwork in his 65 minutes of play. The Nigerian (who was eligible for England at one point) continues to impress on his loan, definitely increasing his value should he not earn a place at Chelsea in the future.
- Nathaniel Chalobah (Nottingham Forest) - Healthy enough to start after a short term injury, Chalobah's weekend was cut a bit short by a dismissal for two yellow cards.
- Josh McEachran (Watford) - Like Chalobah, McEachran's season has been a bit slow to get rolling due to a minor injury. He got a start this weekend though, and looked pretty good in the 80 minutes he played for Gianfranco Zola's side.
- Todd Kane (Blackburn Rovers) - Kane continues to be Blackburn's first choice right back, starting and playing the full 90 minutes again this weekend.
- Patrick Bamford (MK Dons) - David already touched on this, but Bamford found the back of the net two more times this weekend to reach double-digits for the season already. It's been a great run of form to start the season for Bamford, but the key for the player will be to maintain that form as the season progresses.
- George Saville (Brentford) - Saville was a regular starter before he began dealing with an injury, but was healthy enough to make the bench and play 15 minutes this weekend. Here's hoping he'll be fully fit after the international break.
- Sam Walker (Colchester United) - Walker started and had a day to forget, as his Colchester side fell 3-0 to Wolverhampton. In fairness, the 10 outfield players were all absolutely horrible, so unless Walker did something amazing, there was just no way that United was coming away with a point.
- Danny Pappoe (Colchester United) - Pappoe did not take part this weekend, finishing his 3-match ban for a straight red card.
- Milan Lalkovic (Walsall) - Lalkovic started and played an hour in a losing effort this weekend, and didn't have a whole lot to say about it afterwards. He did enjoy the Tottenham loss though...
Saw Tottenham lose 3 0 at home what a result for west ham didn't see that coming very nice haha
