The first 45 minutes of Chelsea's Romanian vacation are in the books with Chelsea in the lead. Ramires scored to put the Blues up 1-0 after 20 minutes of the game, due in large part to some excellent work on the wing from Andre Schurrle. They'd go up 2-0 on an own goal later in the half, and that's where we stand at the moment.
Fernando Torres had to make way for Samuel Eto'o early on in this game, using up one of Jose Mourinho's substitutions and taking off our "in-form" striker. Hopefully the injury is nothing too serious, as Torres has been playing relatively well of late and just escaped a lengthier domestic ban. He'll have the weekend off to rest regardless, as he'll have to sit out one match due to his red card in the Tottenham game.
It would be nice to see the Blues add some insurance to their lead in the second half, as it would be nice to take it relatively easy now that we're playing multiple games per week. Let's go Blues!
